About these terms

convertica.org (the site) is run by Convertica OÜ, a company registered in Tallinn, Estonia, with its registered address at Sepapaja 6, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia. In these terms, "Convertica", "we" and "us" mean Convertica OÜ, and "you" means anyone using the site.

These terms apply when you use the site, run the free CRO audit or use the free calculators. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

The free CRO audit

The free CRO audit is an app. It runs when you enter your website and email address.

How it works. When you enter your website and email address, the audit runs on the page you entered and you can watch it run. We also email you the report, followed by a few emails about your results. You can unsubscribe at any time.
What the audit reads. The audit reads publicly available pages of the website you enter. It does not log in, does not read private or password protected areas, and does not change anything on your site.
What you may submit. Enter an email address you are entitled to use, and a website you own, work on or have permission to request an audit for.
What the audit is. Its recommendations are general. They come from automated checks of public pages, not from a review of your business, your data or your customers, and they are not professional advice for your particular situation.
Your decisions. You decide which recommendations, if any, to put in place, and you are responsible for any changes you make to your site and for testing them.
No guaranteed results. We do not promise any result from the audit or from acting on it, including any change in conversion rate, revenue, search rankings or how AI agents use your site.
Free. The free CRO audit costs nothing. We may change what it checks, limit it, or stop offering it.

CRO advisory

CRO advisory is a paid Convertica service, led personally by founder Kurt Philip with Convertica's CRO team. Advisory is priced after your audit: we quote a price once we have seen what your free CRO audit finds.

Every advisory engagement is agreed separately in writing. That written agreement sets the scope, price, payment terms and responsibilities.
Nothing on the site, including the pricing page, is an offer that creates an advisory contract, and these terms do not create one.
Advisory helps your team decide what to fix, test and do next. In advisory, your own team builds the changes.
If a written advisory agreement and these terms disagree, the written agreement applies to that engagement.

Full implementation

Full implementation is a paid Convertica service in which Convertica's team builds the fixes from your free CRO audit for you. It is priced after your audit: we quote a price once we have seen what your free CRO audit finds.

Every full implementation engagement is agreed separately in writing. That written agreement sets the scope, price, payment terms and responsibilities.
Nothing on the site, including the pricing page, is an offer that creates a full implementation contract, and these terms do not create one.
If a written full implementation agreement and these terms disagree, the written agreement applies to that engagement.

The free calculators

The free calculators (sample size, statistical significance and conversion rate) give estimates from the numbers you enter and standard statistical formulas. The numbers you enter are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.

The results are for planning and information. They depend on your inputs and on the assumptions each calculator states, and they may contain errors. Check important results before you rely on them. The calculators are provided free and without any warranty that they are accurate, complete or suitable for your purpose.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for any lawful purpose. Search engines and AI assistants may read and cite it. Please do not:

try to get into parts of the site or its servers that are not public, or test them for weaknesses without our written permission
send automated or bulk signups, get around the signup form's limits, or submit other people's email addresses
send so many requests that the site slows down or stops working for others
upload or send anything harmful, such as malware
use the site to break any law or anyone else's rights

We may block access or remove signups that break these rules.

Case studies, testimonials and guides

Our case studies report results from tests run for specific clients, on their sites, with their traffic, over the stated timeframes. They show what happened in those cases. They are not a promise or prediction of what will happen on your site.

Testimonials are our clients' own words, from Trustpilot reviews or as clients gave them to us. They describe their experience, not results you should expect.

Guides and articles on the site are general information about conversion rate optimization. They are not professional advice for your business.

Intellectual property

The site's text, design, logo, graphics, calculators and code belong to Convertica or are used under licence. You may view and print pages for your own use, link to any page, and quote short passages with a link back to the page. Please do not copy the site or large parts of it, or use the Convertica name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our written permission.

Client names and logos shown on the site belong to their owners. They are shown to identify past clients, not to suggest that those companies endorse anything else.

Links to other sites

The site links to other websites, such as Trustpilot, LinkedIn and the tools mentioned in our guides. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

Availability and changes to the site

We provide the site, the free calculators and the free CRO audit as they are and as available. We may change, suspend or remove any part of them at any time, and we do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows:

the site, the free calculators and the free CRO audit are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
Convertica is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, sales, data or business opportunity, arising from your use of the site, the free calculators or the free CRO audit, or from acting on their results
Convertica's liability for CRO advisory and full implementation is set out in the written agreement for that engagement

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Any dispute about them will be decided by the courts of Estonia. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country and may also bring a claim in its courts.

If you have a problem, please contact us first. Most issues can be sorted out by email.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we change the free CRO audit. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. Changes apply from the time they are posted and do not apply to anything that happened before.
